Playing sports is a joy and an honor, and teaches
many valuable life skills for both on and off the
field.
But playing sports also has “A Dark Side”, that many
people are reluctant to admit or talk about. Almost
daily on the Internet, we read stories about Sports
Heroes who commit suicide, and suffer from stress,
depression, anger, memory, relationship, money,
legal, and substance abuse problems.
We at Greystone care deeply about the athlete, and
about their quality of life. That’s why we formed
“Greystone Foundation”, our non-profit division.
Greystone Foundation’s mission is Public Service,
through discussion and education about:
The Stresses associated with Sports
Early Warning Signs of Problems that could benefit from

Specific Types of Interventions that may be Helpful
